| TOP 15 SPORTS BARS 1) Blondies: 2 locations: 212 W 79th @ Amsterdam- B-Way; AND 1770 2nd Ave @ 92-93rd; Sports bar w/ tons of TVs; Dining area; Friendly bartenders & sexy waitresses. Great wings; Endless TVs; Great for beer parties and to watch multiple games. Penn State alums. 2) Tonic: 727 7th Ave @ 48th-49th; Upscale Sports Bar; 3 levels, Excellent Food; Has large/ multiple TVs on each level; Lounge feel; Nice Irish bartenders; Little pricy for genre. Sexy feel and certainly a cleaner, more older crowd (30s). 3) Ship of Fools: 1590 2nd @ 82-83rd; Spacious. Tons of TV’s and multiple rooms.... keeps getting bigger in back; One of my favorites. 42 televisions and 12 large screens; Tables as well for food. 4) Lansdowne Road: 599 10th Av @ 43rd; Irish Pub with "Ice Bar"; Off the chart good Sports Bar; Every day, all day – one 20 ounce draft & 1 bottle $4. 13 huge TVs; Great food; Have private parties here; Happy Hour. 5) ESPN Zone: 4 Times Square @ 43rd; The biggest and the best sports bar that would be #1 if not for the many tourists. Endless TVs small and large; Great bar food- though overprices; Huge drafts and various specials; Full game rooms and fun things to do; Memorabilia to look at. 6) Mercury Bar: 659 Ninth @ 45th; Excellent number of flat screens; Large and tasty menu; Brunch; Singles scene at night; Overall a good, solid bar; Young-ish; Has decent tables to sit down for a meal. 7) Back Page: 1472 3rd Ave @ 83rd; Monstrously big sports bar; Lots to do; Good food. Downstairs has pool, darts; Great for groups; Must for the big game; Pool table; Good for private parties; TVs all over. 8) Brother Jimmy’s: Multiple Locations...best 2 for sports: 1485 Second Ave @ 77th; 428 Amsterdam @ 80-81st; Dive Sports Bar; Carolina Bar; Incredible Bar-B-Q food; Dirt Cheap beer specials; Great for games – especially college or Yankees; Beer lovers haven; Fish Bowls! 9) 40/40 Bar: 6 W 25th @ 6th Ave-Broadway; Owned by Jay-Z; Hot, upscale sports club; 15 LCD TVs; 8 Plasmas; $4,000,000 space; Has a Memorabilia Hallway; Very classy yes a lot of fun; Great looking party crowd. 10) Village Pourhouse: 64 3rd Ave @ 11th Street; Lots of TVs; Absolutely dirt cheap drink specials; Okay food- but Wings are great; Events and games; More of a frat scene but solid to watch the game and drink heavy. 11) Professor Thom’s: 219 2nd Av @ 13th; Bar, Lounge, Sports Bar; 41 foot bar; Great brew on tap; Cool décor; Singles scene or for groups and dates; 7+ TVs; Red Sox bar; Good grub; Game nights- Bingo Wednesdays; 2nd floor lounge; 20s, 30s crowd; 12) Coppersmiths: 793 9th Av @ 53rd; Sports bar with flair; Great Food; Cool looking inside; Drink specials every day; Spacious; Laid back and friendly staff; Inviting feel; Tons of TVs. 13) Bounce Deuce: 103 2nd Ave @ 6th St; Great flatscreen TVs all the way down the bar; 19 total 42 inch flatscreens; Giant beer funnels; DJ, singles scene at night; Large menu of bar food; Pay per view events here. 14) Nice Guy Eddie’s: 5 Av A @ Houston; Dive Sports Bar, After Work; Sexy bartenders; Chill and cool. Village feel.
